Apple has announced speed bumps to its Retina MacBook Pro range to be fully equipped for the OS X Yosemite update this Autumn. Despite retaining the same prices, Apple has made several changes that are sure to please their customers. For the 13-inch models, the minimum available RAM has been doubled from 4GB to 8GB in order to keep up with an ever-growing number of programs on the Mac. There has also been a 200MHz increase in processing power for each of those models.
The 15-inch models have also received some big updates. There is now a minimum of 16GB RAM on all models, doubled from 8GB previously. The processors have also been upgraded to the 4th-generation Intel i7 CPUs, and the most expensive model now has a 1TB solid state drive along with a $100 price reduction.
The new MacBook Pro devices are available to order from the Apple store today for shipment within 24 hours. Will you be buying one? Leave us a comment telling us what you think of these product updates!
